Welcome back!

Good afternoon boys and girls

Hope you have had a good summer and you’re looking forward to coming back to school.

I have already planned your after school clubs and many school games events for you to participate in so make sure you ask me about them when you see me around the school tomorrow.

Have a good nights rest and see you tomorrow

Brentford Sports Day

On Wednesday 3rd May, 20 children from years 3 and 4, split into teams A and B went down to Brentford Fountain Leisure Centre to take part in Sports Day that involved 46 teams.

They ran, dribbled, jumped, hurdled and more importantly smiled all day long. Their efforts were incredible with one team finishing in the top 16!

I am very proud of their efforts but immensely proud of how they conducted themselves and their brilliant sporting behvaviour.

Well done boys and girls 🙂

Quadkids Athletics Competition

The last event of the term was the Quadkids Athletics Competition. We took 16 children from across years 5 and 6 and they gave it their best at events including; Javelin, long jump, 600m and 60m. The children were split into two teams. Team A came 4th and Team B came 6th out of 11 teams which is an excellent achievement.

Well done boys and girls!

Football Friendlies against Chatsworth

Years 3 and 4 took on Chatsworth Primary School in two exciting football matches. Unfortunately we lost both games but the boys were a credit to the school. Years 5 and 6 then took on Chatsworth and again there was something fantastic football on show with Springwell winning three of the four games.

Well done boys!

Year 5 and 6 Tag Rugby Borough Finals

Our Tag Rugby Team visited Old Isleworthians Sports Ground to participate in the Hounslow Borough Tag Rugby Finals. It was a very tough competition and unfortunately we failed to qualify from the group stages.
The team performed very well but we were beaten by better teams and I cannot fault a single player. We are all very proud.

Year 4 Inter House Netball & Basketball

Below are the results for the Year 4 Netball & Basketball Competition that took place on Friday 10th March. Well done to those children who took part, you all performed to a brilliant standard.

1st: St. Georges – 18 Points
2nd: St. Patricks, St. Davids and St. Andrews – 11 Points

It was a great start and year 5 it is your turn next week!

Netball Borough Finals

On Tuesday 7th March our netball team went to Heathlands School to take part in the Borough Finals. It proved to be a very tough competition and unfortunately we failed to qualify from our group. We did face two of the finalists in the group stages and the level of netball on show was fantastic. Springwell performed very well and the attitude of the team was brilliant. They should be very proud to have reached this stage and should hold their heads high!

Hounslow Borough Football Finals

Our football team took part in the borough finals on Wednesday. They did amazingly well topping their group and going through to the semi finals. They came up against a very good St Michael & St Martin side who beat us 4-0 and then went on to win the competition.

The team should be very proud of their performance.
